Exhibition stand builders in Germany

General view of the Eksen Al stand at Aluminium 2025 in Düsseldorf: a 42 sqm maxima system build.

We build your stand at German fairs turnkey: designed and produced in our own Beylikdüzü workshop, shipped under ATA Carnet, built in the hall by our own crew. 182 square metres for Emintosun at LIGNA 2025, 153 for GMS at bauma 2025, 100 for İBA Kimya at PaintExpo 2024 — all delivered this way. Our Aachen office supports on site during build week; you sign one contract from Istanbul.

What we do at fairs in Germany

In Hanover we have built four stands at Deutsche Messe: the 182 square metre maxima stand for Emintosun at LIGNA 2025, and the Öz Metal 2023, Tekno Vals 2022 and Genç Bombe 2025 stands at HANNOVER MESSE. In Munich the GMS stand at bauma 2025 was 153 square metres of maxima. In Dusseldorf, at ALUMINIUM, 96 square metres for Alfa Metal and 42 for Eksen Al, plus 25 square metres for Saes at wire & Tube 2024. In Cologne, at Koelnmesse, 105 square metres of custom timber for Cemer Kent Ekipmanları at FSB and 28 square metres of timber for Doqu Home at imm cologne 2023. Nuremberg: 60 square metres for Ağaoğlu Silah at IWA OutdoorClassics 2025. Karlsruhe: 100 square metres of timber for İBA Kimya at PaintExpo 2024.

Coming up: ALUMINIUM Dusseldorf on 6–8 October 2026, EuroBLECH on 20–23 October 2026, MEDICA on 16–19 November 2026, BAU Munich on 11–15 January 2027, HANNOVER MESSE on 5–8 April 2027 and LIGNA on 10–14 May 2027.

Freight, customs and the Aachen office

After the trial assembly in the workshop the stand goes onto a lorry. We issue the ATA Carnet, follow the exit from Turkey and the entry into Germany, and bring the stand back on the same carnet after the fair. German organisers issue detailed technical guidelines on height, rigging, fire class and power; we prepare that file and correspond with the organiser. During build week the Aachen office is on hand on the German side. Our own crew builds and dismantles; nothing is subcontracted locally. The exhibition logistics page sets out the process.

Which stand type

Most of our German work is maxima system: 12–200 square metres, compact on the lorry, built in 1–3 days; the panel joints show, but the graphic surface is wide. Where the brief asks for uninterrupted surfaces and free dimensions we build custom timber, as for İBA Kimya and Cemer; 2–5 build days. If the plot is open on two or three sides we draw an island or corner layout for it as well.

German venues we work at

Fair venues in Germany are spread across cities and each carries its own sector calendar. The venues we work at regularly: Messe Frankfurt (Frankfurt), Messe Düsseldorf (Düsseldorf), Koelnmesse (Cologne), Messe München (Munich), NürnbergMesse (Nuremberg), Deutsche Messe (Hanover), Messe Karlsruhe (Karlsruhe), Messe Berlin (Berlin) and Messe Stuttgart. Exhibitor manuals and technical regulations come from these venues at registration; the city pages hold each venue's hall sizes, upcoming fairs and the stands we built there.

Rules of the German halls

Three topics stand out at German venues. First, materials: flame-retardant (B1) certificates for carpet, fabric and timber are submitted before build-up and checked on site; uncertified material is not admitted. Second, rigging: every element hung from the ceiling needs an application to the organiser's contracted supplier and a structural approval. Third, double decks: an upper deck depends on permission, hall height and floor load. The power line comes from the contracted supplier with the load declared weeks ahead; empties are stored only through the official forwarder; on build day vehicle entry runs on plate registration and time slots. We prepare these documents in the same week as the design and submit them to the organiser; the general framework is in venue rules and stand approval.

Most of our German work is at the Hannover, Düsseldorf and Cologne fairgrounds. Freight, ATA Carnet and customs are on us; the stand is built in Istanbul and shipped to the hall.

What determines the price

Our quote lists the scope item by item; we take a brief before quoting, because two stands of the same size can differ a lot.

  • Floor area and the number of open sides
  • Stand type: custom timber or maxima system
  • Height, suspended ceiling and rigging needs
  • Fittings such as lighting, screens and furniture
  • Venue rules and build hours
  • Freight distance and customs
What goes into exhibition stand pricing

Logistics note

For installations abroad, freight, ATA Carnet and customs are handled by Akros; the stand is produced in the Istanbul workshop and shipped to the hall.

Frequently asked

How do you get a stand to a fair in Germany?
The stand is produced in our Istanbul workshop, fully assembled once there and put through a lighting test, then dismantled and loaded on a truck. Freight planning, ATA Carnet and customs are ours; our crew is in the hall on move-in day.
Are the rules at German venues different?
Yes, and stricter. Height limits, fire-class material requirements, power application deadlines and build hours are set per fair by regulation. We submit the technical file to the organiser and prepare material certificates during production.
Which German fairs have you built at?
HANNOVER MESSE, LIGNA, imm cologne, IWA OutdoorClassics, bauma, wire & Tube Düsseldorf and PaintExpo. The projects are on this page; each states the fair, the year and the floor area.
How far ahead should we start?
For Germany we recommend at least ten weeks for a custom timber stand and six weeks for a maxima system stand, with a week set aside for freight and customs.
How does the stand get to Germany, and what about customs?
By road, on one lorry, with an ATA Carnet. The carnet is the stand’s temporary export document; it is stamped on the way out and on the way in, and the stand returns on it after the fair. We handle the paperwork and the customs appointments; you supply the product list.
What do we need to do about the German hall regulations?
Nothing. We prepare the technical file in the organiser’s format, covering height, rigging, fire class and power, and submit it 6 weeks before the fair once the design is approved. Production starts after the approval, so nothing has to be corrected in the hall.
Who builds the stand, and do you have people in Germany?
The workshop crew from Beylikdüzü travels with the stand; the people who produced it build it. The Aachen office provides support on the German side during build week, and the same crew dismantles the stand at the close.
When does the shipment leave?
On a comfortable schedule we start 8 weeks before the fair; the trial assembly and lighting test are finished with 1 week to go and the lorry leaves that week. If you start later we first say what can still be done, then run an accelerated programme.
What should we send for a quote?
Fair name and dates, hall and stand number, floor area and number of open sides, and the weight of any machine on display. The quote form is here; we reply within 48 hours with a first concept.
Do we have to work with a local stand builder in Germany?
No. German venues allow exhibitors to work with the contractor of their choice; the documents, insurance and staff registrations required from the builder are all in place with us. We produce the stand in Istanbul, truck it to the venue and build it with our own crew; our Aachen office supports on site on the German side.
Who handles correspondence with the organiser in German?
We do. Technical correspondence after registration, order forms, the stand approval file and on-site applications run in German; you receive a summary in your language. We also place the power, rigging and cleaning orders in the organiser's service portal.
When should we start the stand for a German fair?
Eight weeks is a comfortable calendar: the design freezes eight weeks before the fair, production starts six weeks before, the stand is assembled and checked in the workshop and shipped three weeks before, and the freight is received in Aachen a week before. At large fairs such as bauma and HANNOVER MESSE the plot contract is signed a year ahead.
