Fair plots are named by how many sides are open: an inline stand open on one side, a corner stand on two, a peninsula on three and an island on four. That number is not simply a price difference; it determines how the stand must be designed from the start. On an inline stand the back wall is a stage and the brand message is built there. A corner stand has to greet visitors arriving from two directions; the corner point is both the most valuable and the most dangerous spot — close it off and the stand turns inward. An island has no back wall at all: the scheme works from the centre outwards and needs a mass that reads from every direction. Across our projects we have worked with every plot type from one open side to four. If you consult us while choosing your plot, we can weigh together which combination of open sides will make better use of the same floor area — that decision is made during the fair application and cannot be changed afterwards.

Frequently asked
- What floor areas do you build a Island and Corner stand for?
- We work in the 36-800 m² range, and 0 published projects on this site are of this type. What decides the layout is not the area but how many sides are open and what you want to show on the walls; we use the same system on a small corner stand and on an island in the middle of the hall.
- How long does a Island and Corner stand take to build?
- The build in the hall takes 3-6 days; the schedule of the hall matters as much as the size of the stand. Our own crew does the build, and we take the dismantle at closing too.
- How does the process work for a Island and Corner stand?
- We start with the floor area, the open sides and the fair date, then draw the design. Once it is approved the stand is produced in the workshop and built in the hall to the fair calendar; at closing, our crew dismantles it.
