Exhibition stands at Georgia World Congress Center

Taking a stand to Atlanta differs from taking one to Germany in two places: the shipping time and the way the hall works. A stand bound for the Georgia World Congress Center leaves our workshop in Beylikdüzü weeks earlier than one bound for Europe, so we build the calendar backwards from that. And because the split between what our own crew may do and what the venue's appointed contractor must do works differently in American halls, we settle that split at the technical file stage rather than on build day. Once those two points are fixed, the rest is what we do everywhere: draw, produce, build, dismantle.

Building at the Georgia World Congress Center: what we have learned

We have built stands in 10 countries and run the same routine in each: trial assembly and lighting test in the workshop, shipping as numbered parts, ATA Carnet and customs, build in the hall with our own crew, handover walk the day before opening. In Atlanta a shipping plan sits in front of that routine; whether the stand goes by sea or by air is decided together, from the fair date and the volume of the stand.

We do not invent hall rules. Height limits, rigging permits, power and floor protection requirements change from fair to fair; we send the technical file to the organiser and the venue and do not start production before written approval is back.

In the wire and cable sector, our wire Eurasia page for Istanbul and our wire & Tube page for Düsseldorf carry the preparation timeline for the same industry, a direct reference for a company coming to Interwire. On the machinery side the Öz Metal 2023 Hanover exhibition stand is a 36 square metre maxima example, and there is more on our metal processing page. For other American fairs see our United States page.

Fairs at this venue

  • Interwire, 4–6 May 2027. Wire, cable and wire processing machinery; the machines are heavy, so the floor and structure are drawn around the machine weight, and the plinth sizes for coil and spool samples are asked for at the quotation stage. Dates, preparation timeline and the fair's own questions are on the fair page.

Which stand type

For a stand crossing the Atlantic the first criterion is shipping volume, which is why we draw both types for the same plot and show them side by side:

  • Maxima system: aluminium grid and printed panels, low volume, one to three days in the hall; our first suggestion for Atlanta.
  • Custom timber build: uninterrupted surfaces and dimensions drawn for your brand; more volume, two to five days in the hall.
  • Island stand (island booth): if you are putting the machine in the middle and showing it from four sides.

Our stand types: size and on-site build time

We produce all of them in our own workshop. The size range and on-site build time come from our recorded projects; if you are undecided we draw two types for the same floor area and show them side by side.

  • Custom Timber Build
    Size
    20–500 m²
    Build
    2–5 days on site
    Projects
    13 published projects

Purpose-built timber stand produced from scratch for each show.

  • Maxima System
    Size
    12–200 m²
    Build
    1–3 days on site
    Projects
    18 published projects

Aluminium profile frame with clad panels; fast to install.

  • Modular
    Size
    9–150 m²
    Build
    1–2 days on site

Component system built from aluminium profiles and panels; quick build and a small shipping volume.

  • Double Decker
    Size
    60–600 m²
    Build
    4–8 days on site

Meeting space on the upper level; two floors on the same footprint.

  • Island and Corner
    Size
    36–800 m²
    Build
    3–6 days on site

Open on all four sides; approachable from every direction.

  • Country Pavilion

Stands we have built

We have not published a project under this heading yet; these three stands from other fairs show the work of our workshop.

Frequently asked

How early does shipping to the United States have to start?
The 8 week calendar we use for European fairs is not enough for Atlanta; we count the shipping time back from the fair date and bring design approval and workshop production forward. Send us the fair name and dates and you will have the real calendar within 48 hours.
Who builds the stand, and do American hall rules allow it?
Our own crew travels to Atlanta for the build. Which tasks the venue's appointed contractor must carry out is something we learn from the organiser at the technical file stage, in writing, and the plan is built around that answer rather than around an assumption.
Can you take a heavy machine onto the stand?
Yes. We ask for the machine's dimensions and weight when quoting and draw the floor accordingly. Bringing the machine into the hall depends on the organiser's loading schedule, and we follow that slot too.
What should we send for a quote?
The fair name and dates, your floor area in square metres or feet, the number of open sides, the hall plan if you have it and a list of the machines you will show. Send it through the quote form; the first concept is free and the written budget comes in three options.
