PaintExpo 2028 stand builder
What a paint or coatings producer shows at PaintExpo is a surface: coated sample panels, finished parts, perhaps a working application booth. For this fair we draw the stand so that the sample reads correctly under the light, produce it in our workshop in Beylikdüzü, move it from Istanbul to Karlsruhe under an ATA Carnet and build it at Messe Karlsruhe with our own crew. Our Aachen office in Germany is on site during build week.
What we do for you at PaintExpo
We take your floor area and sample list and draw a three-dimensional concept; after approval we send the technical file to the hall management at Messe Karlsruhe in German. Freight, customs, hall entry, build, dismantling and return freight sit in one contract. Graphics and print are ours.
A coating sample looks different under different light. We light the sample wall close to daylight and without shadows, and show gloss and matt surfaces at separate angles. Sample panels hang on interchangeable rails; finished parts go into lit showcases. If application equipment will run, the power and compressed air request is shown on the plan and discussed with the hall by us. Conversations with German buyers run long, so seated meeting space and a closed room come forward in the plan.
Stands we have built at this fair

Which stand type
- Custom timber build: 20–500 square metres, built in 2–5 days; the İba Kimya stand was this type, and it is our first suggestion if you want an uninterrupted surface for the sample wall.
- Maxima system: 12–200 square metres, 1–3 days; printed panels and showcases when you want to keep the freight volume small.
- Island and corner stands: on open plots above 36 square metres the sample wall faces the aisle.
Timeline
The next edition runs 25–28 April 2028. A comfortable programme starts on 29 February 2028 with the brief, concept and budget; design approval and technical file on 14 March, workshop production and print files on 28 March, trial assembly and lighting test in the workshop on 18 April, then straight onto the lorry to Karlsruhe. Build in the hall during fair week, a walk-through on 24 April, dismantling on the evening of 28 April. If you come later we tell you what an accelerated programme can still deliver. Put your floor area and sample list into the quote form; we reply within 48 hours and the first concept is free.

- When and where is PaintExpo 2028?
- PaintExpo 2028 takes place 25–28 April 2028 at Messe Karlsruhe (Karlsruhe). Dates come from the organiser’s official site; this page is updated if they change.
- When should a stand for PaintExpo 2028 be ordered?
- Starting by 29 February 2028 for a custom timber stand, or around 28 March 2028 for a maxima system stand, gives a comfortable schedule. For later starts we first tell you what can still be done.
- Have you built at PaintExpo before?
- Yes; 1 of our stands are listed on this page. Each project states the year, floor area and stand type; we know the hall rules and build hours from that work.
- What should we send for a quote?
- The fair name and dates (filled in from this page), your floor area and number of open sides, plus a floor plan and reference images if you have them. The first concept and a written budget frame arrive within a few working days; the concept is free of charge.
- Do we have to arrange freight for the sample panels and paint tins ourselves?
- They can travel in the same lorry and on the same ATA Carnet as the stand. For products containing chemicals we agree the transport conditions beforehand; the customs correspondence is handled under our exhibition logistics service.
- What is needed for the hall rules at Messe Karlsruhe?
- Height, suspended loads and fire classification need approval from the hall management; we prepare the technical file and obtain the approval, with our Aachen office supporting us on the German side. Materials are chosen to meet German hall requirements.
- Can we get power and compressed air for a working application booth?
- We open the power and air requests with the hall management. Give us the booth's power rating and air demand at quote stage and we show the line on the plan.
- Will the stand lighting shift the colour of our samples?
- That is why we choose a light colour close to daylight and run the lighting test at the workshop trial assembly with your own samples. We adjust the light angles from the result.
