Textile trade fair stands

At textile fairs business is done with the buyer who has an appointment, not with the visitor passing in the aisle. So the most valuable square metres on the stand are not the frontage but the enclosed meeting room. The buyer spreads samples on a table, touches them, holds them to the light and talks price; none of those three is comfortable in an open area. Giving close to half the stand to an enclosed meeting area is normal in this sector. Sample presentation is a storage problem. Hanging systems, drawer units and wall boards are planned together, and how much space each takes follows the size of the collection. A rail added later rarely matches the stand’s structure, so it sags and looks untidy — which is why we account for the hanging load from the start. Lighting is a question of colour accuracy. Fabric colour shifts visibly with the colour temperature and colour rendering of the light. A difference between the tone the buyer saw on the stand and the tone they receive is a commercial problem, so we select lighting for fabric presentation and, where needed, add a separate source over the sample table. Production is completed in our Istanbul workshop. The stand is fully assembled there and the hanging system and lighting are tested before it travels. Our own crew installs, and we prepare the documents the hall regulations require.
